There’s a lot of good-looking ladies that make their way into the movie biz thanks to a boost from a successful modeling career and Lily Cole is a fine example of a golden combination of striking beauty, brains and burgeoning acting talent.

Lily, who hails from England, got her start as a model – which one look at her would probably suggest to you. She has had spreads in many big-name magazines with a couple of the more notable ones being Vogue and Playboy.

As an actress, Lily is new to the game but is already off to a running start. She landed the lead female role in what ended up being Heath ledger’s final film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The film was high profile enough before Ledger’s untimely passing but after the fact, interest n the film grew even more. This was (of course) due to the fact that it is Ledger’s final film but also due to the fact that several actors volunteered to finish the scenes Ledger himself didn’t finish: Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell – quite an impressive cast.

She may be young, and new to the scene but with a high profile, breakout role and incredible looks, you’ll be seeing plenty more of Lily Cole, who is already slated to appear in three more films this year.
