Does anyone else think it’s a little bit weird seeing Dakota Fanning playing adult roles? I mean, she was cute as little Lucy in I Am Sam but now she’s a certified badass vampire in the Twilight saga? WTF?

Growing up is inevitable but Dakota (whos full name is actually Hannah Dakota Fanning) is still only 16. But that hasn’t slowed her career any. Last year, she bust out of her sweet little girl typecast when she played Cassie in Push and now she’s playing a nasty vampire and even Cherie Currie in the upcoming Runaways movie.

Things seem to be going great for Dakota and good for her. It’s just always strange seeing someone grow up on camera – kind of like the Olson twins; nowadays they’re NYC fashionistas but they’ll always be Michelle Tanner to me. Nonetheless, go get ‘em Dakota.
