He may very well be one of the most phenominal MC’s in music history but is simultaneously one of the most controversial. Love him or hate him, Eminem is back.

Recovery is Slim Shady’s newest album (his 7th) but it was originally intended to be the second part of his last album. In 2009, Eminem released Relapse. What we now know as Recovery was completed shortly after Relapse and was supposed the be called Relapse 2. For various reasons, the album got delayed, some songs got reowrked and the finished piece grew into something more than a sequel.

The single, “Not Afraid,” has been tearing up the charts since the beginning of the month and with guest spots by Rihanna, Lil Wayne and Pink, Eminem seems to on his way to another hit album.
