If you’re among the millions who have already flocked to theatres to see Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland (be it in 2D, 3D or IMAX 3D or whatever) then you’re probably wondering two things: 1. Where’s all the fun songs and goofy characters that were in the cartoon version I loved when I was little? 2. Who in the heck is this girl playing Alice?
Is it just me or is there something hot about a girl with an accent? Forget the stereotypes about Brits and their horrendous teeth and eardrum shattering Cockney accents because Emily Blunt is one fine English muffin.
Wow. When they say that making it in Hollywood is mostly luck, they aren’t kidding. Granted, good looks and superb acting skills don’t hurt your chances but for Sam Worthington, things went from decent to incredible with a single casting.
There’s a lot of good-looking ladies that make their way into the movie biz thanks to a boost from a successful modeling career and Lily Cole is a fine example of a golden combination of striking beauty, brains and burgeoning acting talent. (more…)
